We had our entire street, including the apron of the driveway, redone a few weeks ago, complimentary of the village. The downside was not parking in our driveway for close to a week (we parked around the corner), but it naturally increased my daily exercise and made me much more appreciative of the convenience of a driveway.
It was really interesting to watch the whole process right from the living room window. We had some great discussions about concrete, construction equipment, asphalt, curbs and sewers.
By the way, Jared took these pictures. Alexa has always loved photography since she was 2, but Jared has just recently taken an interest. He asks to take the camera around the house, and his photos are now becoming quite good. He took all the pictures in this post.
