My sister's son was born the day after my birthday, and since my mom's birthday is on the 17th of October, we have a month full of celebrations.
Little O turned 2 this year. He is very into Veggie Tales, so it was a Veggie Tales theme, of course. My sister made the Larry cucumber cake. Needless to say, she is very creative.
Poor little O became so upset when we cut into Larry. He's such a sensitive little guy, and he takes things really hard sometimes. Unfortunately, the cake was only a preview of what was to come.
After eating, we went into the garage for the pinata, which happened to look like Bob the Tomato from Veggie Tales. My kids and another little girl were very excited. None of the kids had ever experienced a pinata before. As soon as Jared realized it was full of candy, he was so in.
But, poor O was SO upset when Jared and the other little girl started wacking away at Bob the Tomato. He just couldn't be convinced we wern't really killing Bob.
Jared was excited, though, when the candy started spilling out of Bob.
I'm adding this to end of this post, even though it really has nothing to do with O's birthday.
The kids have been in a huge building kick. They take everything they can find throughout the house and create a robot out of it. It is so cute!
